It has been a long-standing tradition at the Cathedral to offer a special Christmas service geared especially, but not exclusively, for families with young children. This is a relaxed, very informal, educational, and dare I say fun service for all in attendance. There is no sermon at this service, but there is a fun, interactive telling of the Christmas story.
Before the service, the elements of the crèche are scattered throughout the Cathedral. After the telling of the Christmas story, the children are invited to go on a pilgrimage in search of the crèche elements. Once found, the children build the crèche scene in the Cathedral.
