Come check us out or explore the pages of this website to learn more about us! But here are some of the highlights:

We've been located on our current physical site since 1835, so we have deep roots in this neighbourhood and city. As a "cathedral," we are the mother church of the Anglican Diocese of Niagara and the seat of the Bishop of Niagara, The Right Reverend Susan Bell. We have weekly and varied opportunities for prayer and worship. We offer a range of ways for people to build community and make meaningful friendships. We have an ongoing commitment to serving the most vulnerable residents of our neighbourhood and city. We have a long history of being an inclusive and affirming congregation. We are a place where people are empowered to discover and exercise their gifts. We are committed to excellence in music and liturgy, but we're not pretentious about it!

Accessibility:

  • Hard of Hearing?   We have hearing loop technology.
  • Mobility Issues?   We have a power-operated stair lift.  If you use a wheelchair or a walker, you may prefer to enter the Cathedral from the rear door accessible from the parking lot.

Here's what to expect on a typical Sunday morning service:

  • Wear whatever clothes make you feel most comfortable; there's no dress code!
  • You'll be greeted as you arrive and given an "Order of Service" to guide you during worship.
  • Don’t worry if you don’t know exactly when you need to stand or sit (it isn’t really that important) and only join in when you feel comfortable.
  • There will be a collection taken during the service.  You are welcome to contribute to the operation of the parish if you wish to do so.
  • We celebrate communion at our weekly services. Simply come up to the altar rail at the time of communion to receive with everyone else. Cup your hands to receive the bread and accept the cup. If you do not wish to receive, you may still come forward, cross your arms over your chest and receive a blessing.
  • If you have a question about anything you experience at the Cathedral, please feel free to ask Dean Tim after the service, or contact us.
  • Do come and check us out! We hope to see you soon!
