In October 2019, I had an exhibit in the Cathedral entitled Birds of the Cathedral on display for one Sunday and the Art Crawl. It was agreed that we would mount it again in June 2020 but we all know what happened to such plans.
In lieu of that planned exhibit, I am happy to present it in a virtual environment with the hopes that this contribution (and perhaps others to follow) helps us stay connected to both each other and the Cathedral itself.
Cathedral Birds
This segment will consist of four installments presented weekly – eagles, pelicans, doves, and peacocks. These all occur in windows, woodwork, stonework, or hooked works (cushions and kneelers). The photos are of both elements of the cathedral and birds with a commentary and explanation.
To access each installment, please click on the date or the caption of the relevant photo.
