Thank you for your generosity and support over the past years. After much thought and consideration, we have made the decision to close the clothing room. In an attempt to reevaluate the clothing donation portion of the Cathedral Café program, it was found that the volume of donations, time to sort and organize, lack of consistent volunteers to manage, staff time to search for items and space constraints prohibits us from effectively distributing clothing. There are many other organizations that provide this service effectively. We will revisit the need in the fall and possibly target requests (eg. Coats).
If you have clothing donations, they can be taken to:
- Eva Rothwell Centre – 460 Wentworth St. North
- Venture Centre (Good Shepherd) – 155 Cannon St. East
- Living Rock – 30 Wilson St.
- Helping Hands – 669 Barton St. East
- St. Vincent De Paul – 429 Barton St. East
