This is the first service dedicated to the Christmas season at the Cathedral. In lieu of our regular Sunday Choral Eucharist, we offer today a service of Lessons and Carols traditionally celebrated as we approach Christmas.
From a historical perspective, the Festival of Lessons and Carols is a relatively "modern" service as it was introduced in the late 19th Century. It consists of nine readings with hymns and carols sung intermittently, and it is wonderful! Please join us.
