Cathedral Oasis with LabyrinthAn Open Time for Peace and Reflection 1st Sunday of every Month 12:30pm-2pm We have added an exciting element for folks that visit: a walking labyrinth! We have a seven-circuit Chartres-style canvas labyrinth for all summer use at Cathedral Oasis. It is 24 feet across! Come and explore. The labyrinth offers an accessible meditative experience through an interactive representation of the twists and turns of life, with God always at the centre, drawing us closer and closer. Our doors are open one Sunday per month for anyone to drop in for peace and reflection in the middle of our busy city. Feel free to light a candle, say a prayer, or just sit quietly in this beautiful space. Maybe you have never been in the Cathedral and just want to have a look around? Maybe you would just like to listen to some quiet, peaceful music? Whoever you are, whatever brings you to our doors, you are very welcome. If you have any questions during your visit, there is someone on hand from our Cathedral Community. For level access please go to the reception door to the left of the main Cathedral entrances. Please contact the Cathedral Office if you have any questions. |

Taizé ServiceAn Ecumenical Contemplative Service - Sunday, October 5, 2025 4pm The Taizé movement began in the town of Taizé, France as an ecumenical contemplative youth movement decades ago. Today, Taizé is enjoyed worldwide as a contemplative 30-40 minute service for all ages, which is inviting to seekers as well as regular churchgoers. The leaflet provided to attendees includes the words and tunes to all the chants as well as the liturgical outline of the rest of the service, so it is very accessible to anyone. We hope you will consider attending and inviting a friend! We would be delighted to have people who have sung Taizé to come and join the team leading it. The Litany of ReconciliationPlease join us. Fridays 12:15 -12:30 pm As a member of the Community of the Cross of Nails, we gather weekly at noon on Fridays to pray for peace, justice, and reconciliation. We start our prayer with: We stand together at this Friday noon hour to join with all those churches, schools, and other institutions who have committed themselves to the Community of the Cross of Nails. We search for reconciliation between ourselves and all those who have been harmed by war, by violence, by the effects of colonization and abuses of power, and by greed, selfishness, thoughtlessness and indifference. Please click on Litany of Reconciliation for the prayer in its entirety. A brief history of the Litany of Reconciliation can be found on The Anglican Diocese of Ontario website. |

A Forest Church WorkshopMissional Responses to Creation's Call - Saturday, October 18, 2025 9:30am-12noon. Canterbury Hills "This interactive workshop, led by the Reverend Rachel Summers, explores how Forest Church can serve as a powerful missional approach - especially for those who feel disconnected from traditional forms of church. Led by a practitioner engaged in starting and nurturing Forest Church communities, we’ll explore how to begin, the theological grounding for worship in nature, and the practicalities of gathering people who are curious, spiritual, and concerned about the planet. Whether you’re dreaming of starting something new or simply curious about how the Spirit is moving beyond the church building, come and be inspired to root your mission in the wild wisdom of God’s creation." *Image and Text above are provided by The Anglican Diocese of NiagaraFor complete details, please visitRooted in the Wild: Forest Church and the Mission of God in Nature. The price for workshop admission is $10. Remain VigilantOctober's Climate Justice Action As Canada continues to navigate its relationship with the United States, we must remain vigilant as governments shape our economic future. Clean energy and economic growth can work together. Around the world, progress is being made. India has already reached its goal of producing half its electricity from non-fossil fuels, five years ahead of schedule. The European Union is on track to reduce emissions by 55 percent by 2030. China has lowered emissions this year even while electricity demand has grown. Canada has an opportunity to become a global leader through a national energy grid that builds on our strength in clean, reliable power. We are also called to stand with Indigenous peoples and to press for strong environmental protections. Creation will only find peace when justice is restored!*Image by Rosy / Bad Homburg / Germany from Pixabay |
