Taizé Prayer ServiceSunday, July 6, 2025 4pm Taizé prayer services are a form of contemplative Christian worship characterized by simple, repetitive songs, silence, scripture readings, and prayers of intercession. These services aim to create a peaceful atmosphere conducive to connecting with God and finding inner peace. The services are inspired by the ecumenical monastic community in Taizé, France, and are known for their meditative and unifying nature. The Cathedral will be holding future Taizé prayer services on a periodic basis, but no further dates have been set yet. Please feel free to email Bruce, our Director of Music Ministries, should you have any questions. *Image by Christina Zetterberg from Pixabay |

Cathedral Oasis with LabyrinthAn Open Time for Peace and Reflection - Sunday, July 6, 2025 We have added an exciting element for folks that visit: a walking labyrinth! We have a seven-circuit Chartres-style canvas labyrinth for all summer use at Cathedral Oasis. It is 24 feet across! Come and explore. Our doors are open one Sunday per month for anyone to drop in for peace and reflection in the middle of our busy city. Feel free to light a candle, say a prayer, or just sit quietly in this beautiful space. Maybe you have never been in the Cathedral and just want to have a look around? Maybe you would just like to listen to some quiet, peaceful music? Whoever you are, whatever brings you to our doors, you are very welcome. If you have any questions during your visit, there is someone on hand from our Cathedral Community. For level access please go to the reception door to the left of the main Cathedral entrances. Please contact Bruce Burbidge if you have any questions. |

The Litany of ReconciliationPlease join us. Fridays 12:15 -12:30 pm As a member of the Community of the Cross of Nails, we gather weekly at noon on Fridays to pray for peace, justice, and reconciliation. We start our prayer with: We stand together at this Friday noon hour to join with all those churches, schools, and other institutions who have committed themselves to the Community of the Cross of Nails. We search for reconciliation between ourselves and all those who have been harmed by war, by violence, by the effects of colonization and abuses of power, and by greed, selfishness, thoughtlessness and indifference. Please click on Litany of Reconciliation for the prayer in its entirety. A brief history of the Litany of Reconciliation can be found on The Anglican Diocese of Ontario website. |

Donating During a Service
There are many options to financially support the Cathedral and some parishioners prefer to place their offering on the collection plate during the service. For many, the public act of giving is a powerful expression of our gratitude to God. If you have elected to donate when the collection plate is being passed in church, here are a few helpful tips:
We invite you to discuss any questions or concerns with our Donations Administrator.

Speak OutClimate Justice Cathedral Write and call the Premier and your MPP!There is much concern about the Ontario Government’s legislation of Bills 5 and 17, and rightly so. For example,
To better understand Bill 5 and the reaction from a number of critics, please visit CBC's news item Doug Ford's controversial Bill 5: Here's what you need to know , by Mike Crawley* and posted on May 28, 2025. Silence is acquiescence!Write and call the Premier and your MPP and tell them you are disappointed and upset that both bills were pushed through the legislature before proper consultation with environmental critics, Indigenous groups, municipalities, and other affected parties. Remind them that they were elected to act in our best interests, protect the less fortunate and the environment, and support a just future. *Image by Yvette W from Pixabay*Mike Crawley - Senior reporter | CBC |
