Some call it our Moravian “Pentecost.”

We have added an exciting element for folks that visit: a walking labyrinth!

We have a seven-circuit Chartres-style canvas labyrinth for all summer use at Cathedral Oasis. It is 24 feet across! Come and explore.

The labyrinth offers an accessible meditative experience through an interactive representation of the twists and turns of life, with God always at the centre, drawing us closer and closer.
Please pray for all who visit us during these summer months!

Our doors are open one Sunday per month for anyone to drop in for peace and reflection in the middle of our busy city.  Feel free to light a candle, say a prayer, or just sit quietly in this beautiful space. Maybe you have never been in the Cathedral and just want to have a look around?  Maybe you would just like to listen to some quiet, peaceful music?  Whoever you are, whatever brings you to our doors, you are very welcome. If you have any questions during your visit, there is someone on hand from our Cathedral Community.

• Sunday Sung Eucharist,  one service only at 10 am effective July 6 through to and including August 31
• Morning Prayer on Tuesdays and Thursdays has now resumed after a break in July.
• Wednesday Morning Prayer on Zoom has also resumed after a break in July.

• Digging Deeper, cancelled through all of July and August, resuming on September 7. 
• Cathedral Oasis takes place every Sunday during July and August from 12 noon to 1:30pm.

As a member of the Community of the Cross of Nails, we gather weekly at noon on Fridays to pray for peace, justice, and reconciliation.   We start our prayer with:

We stand together at this Friday noon hour to join with all those churches, schools, and other institutions who have committed themselves to the Community of the Cross of Nails. We search for reconciliation between ourselves and all those who have been harmed by war, by violence, by the effects of colonization and abuses of power, and by greed, selfishness, thoughtlessness and indifference.

Study the Bible in community through this drop-in participant-focused method of reading scripture together.  Discovery Bible Study is designed to meet the spiritual needs of our participants by considering what the biblical text tells us about God and human beings. 

You'll find us in the nave on Thursdays at 11:30am.  All are welcome!

A Turning Point in International Climate Law!

In a landmark advisory opinion on Wednesday, July 24, 2025, the United Nations' top court said countries could be in violation of international law if they fail to take measures to protect the planet from climate change, and nations harmed by its effects could be entitled to reparations.

Advocates immediately cheered the International Court of Justice (ICJ) opinion on nations' obligations to tackle climate change and the consequences they may face if they don't.

"Failure of a state to take appropriate action to protect the climate system … may constitute an internationally wrongful act," court president Yuji Iwasawa said during the hearing. He called the climate crisis "an existential problem of planetary proportions that imperils all forms of life and the very health of our planet." The non-binding opinion, which runs more than 500 pages, was hailed as a turning point in international climate law.

Interac e-Transfer (electronic transfer) is a simple, convenient, and safe way to transfer money to others.  If you already use online banking, you have the ability to donate funds from your bank account directly to the Cathedral's bank account .  Here is some info about using e-transfers:

• IMPORTANT NOTE:  If this is your first time donating to the Cathedral,  please provide both your email and Canada Post mailing address in the message block included in your bank's e-transfer process.  Otherwise, we will not have sufficient information to provide you with an income tax receipt.  
• The email to use is cathedral@niagaraanglican.ca. 
• The Cathedral uses the Autodeposit option so that a security question is not required.
• The message block referenced above is also useful to indicate where you'd like to direct the donation, e.g. altar flowers, The Sharyn Hall Art Fund,  Choral Scholarships etc.  Note:  If no direction is specified, the donation is automatically attributed to Parishioner Givings which supports our many ministry programs and our community at large. 
• Once you complete the e-Transfer process, you will receive an email indicating that your donation has been sent, and the Cathedral will receive a notification letting us know who made the donation, the amount of the donation, and confirmation that the donation has been deposited to the Cathedral's account.
