CATHEDRAL CHATWednesday, February 16th at 7pm What would it truly look like for the church to be anti-racist? For our February Cathedral Chat, we will be joined by The Reverend Naomi Kabugi and Sarah Bird, two members of our diocesan anti-racism working group. Naomi and Sarah will talk with us about their group’s experiences and about how churches across our diocese might begin a similar process of intentional anti-racism work. Through our discussion, we will talk about the relationship between the difficult work of anti-racism and our own baptismal covenant. Because as Naomi and Sarah will remind us: Doing the work of anti-racism is an expression of our Christian faith. Please join us for what will prove to be a rich and important conversation. We will livestream the event on our YouTube page at 7:00pm on Wednesday February 16. There will be a Q&A session following the conversation. Viewers of the livestream will be able to ask questions through the chat feature. Members of our Cathedral parish are invited to participate in a time for reflection, sharing, and discussion via Zoom after the event at 8:15pm. For more infomation visit:

PWRDFPWRDF Responds to COVID in Indigenous Communities with a $50,000 Grant! PWRDF is forwarding an in-Canada emergency grant of $50,000 to support northern Indigenous communities responding to recent COVID surges in northern Manitoba. The funds will be used to purchase and distribute face masks and supplies for cleaning and disinfecting. The needed supplies were identified by the Indigenous People's Alliance of Manitoba-North (IPAM-N). Throughout the pandemic, IPAM-N has been supporting several communities with food hampers, educational supplies, and meals to those who are shut-in. They have also provided funds to hunters to buy gas so they can get out and harvest caribou which have then been shared within the community. While temperatures plunge to 30 and 40 degrees below zero, please keep these communities in your prayers as they try to self-isolate and return to good health. HOW YOU CAN HELP: You can click on the button below or you can donate by phone at 416-822-9083 or leave a voicemail toll-free at 1-866-308-7973 and your call will be returned. Alternatively, you can mail a cheque to PWRDF, 80 Hayden Street, 3rd floor, Toronto, Ontario, M4Y 3G2. Remember to mark “Indigenous COVID” in the memo field. For information on other ways to support PWRDF, please contact your Parish Representative at louise.vanwoelderen@gmail.com or 905-387-1820 For more infomation visit: https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/WebLink.aspx?name=E344492QE&id=44
