Mothering Sunday March 30, and Simnel Cake
Mothering Sunday has been a special day in the Christian Church calendar since the 16th century. On the fourth Sunday of Lent people were given time off to visit their mother churches and their mothers and families. Even in the midst of Lenten fasting Simnel Cake was baked with white wheat flour (simila) and lots of fruit and spices. Please join us! |

Generosity & Our Cathedral
Bishop Susan has announced that Monica will be staying with us as our half-time Priest Associate. What a blessing! It is God's generosity that has brought us to this beautiful moment in our journey, and although the parishioner gifts for this new chapter are still not in place, we are moving forward in faith that each of us will discover our own way of participating generously in this work of love. Intention forms can be easily found at the back of the Cathedral or by following this link. Thank you! |
