Art Crawl

Art Crawl

Friday, May 10 from 7:00-10:00pm

Art Crawl is a wonderful way to engage with the community and to celebrate our beautiful Cathedral!  Join us in the community and in the Cathedral every 2nd Friday of the month.

We offer the beauty of our space to those who wish to take a moment of reflection or prayer.  We also provide guided tours and often there are musical performances and art installations.

May's Climate Action - Plant Native Species

May's Climate Action - Plant Native Species

Every Step Counts! Simple Monthly Actions from Climate Justice Cathedral

If you have a garden or even just a plant or two outside or on a balcony, plant native species and think about replacing non-native plants and removing any invasive species. The internet has lots of information about native plants and invasive species and you can also talk to our own Bishopsgate gardeners.

Why?

Plants, animals, and insects depend on each other. Most insects will not eat non-native plants which means birds and other species lose a food source and biodiversity suffers. Even a single tree or shrub can offer a refuge – just remember to skip insecticides and other chemicals.

Impact

Without biodiversity our entire support system for human as well as animal life would collapse.

Cleaner air and less pollution can reduce a number of health diseases and positive associations with nature can motivate us to make other changes to protect our planet, promoting happier and healthier lives.
