WAYS TO GIVE
From the Cathedral’s Generosity Team: It’s easy to give! How do we show gratitude for the blessings God has given us? We pray. We offer our time and talents. We contribute financially to sustain the ministries of our church – ministries like pastoral care, education, community service and connections, and music. Fortunately, it’s never been easier to give. You can bring cash or cheques to any in-person service, using numbered envelopes or blanks available. Mail your cheque to Christ’s Church Cathedral, 252 James St N, Hamilton, ON L8R 2L3. Online is even easier. On the Cathedral’s Website www.cathedralhamilton.ca just click on the GIVE button in the upper right corner. You’ll see a number of options, such as credit cards, PayPal, Interac e-transfer, and the option to sign up for “pre-authorized giving” (PAG). We love PAG: one sign-up ensures regular monthly payments without the bother of writing cheques or remembering dates. There are other ways to participate and support the Cathedral. Over the years, some parishioners have left a legacy to the Cathedral through a gift from their estate known as a charitable bequest. This option requires a direction in your will with instructions to your executor(s)/trustee(s) to leave one or more of your assets to a charitable organization(s). As an added benefit, a charitable gift in you will can go a long way in reducing your estate's tax liability. This is a simple way to leave a long-lasting legacy at no immediate cost to you. If you would like to include the Cathedral as a recipient of your charitable bequest, or explore options such as transfer of financial securities, please contact the Cathedral Office. We’ll do whatever we can to make it easy! And to all of you whose contributions make possible these life-giving ministries, thank you! |
