MASKS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED
Current guidelines encourage mask wearing, particularly in crowded, enclosed, and close-contact settings. Effective immediately, Bishop Susan is strengthening guidance to mirror the chief medical officer of health's strong recommendation that masks be worn in indoor settings. By doing so, and applying additional layers of protection, we will not only protect ourselves but our most vulnerable neighbours. In this way, we are also bearing strong witness to God's call to love our neighbours. |

In the Anglican Church of Canada we pray for The Secretary General and staff of the Anglican Communion Office . In our Diocese of Niagara we pray for our Bishop, The Right Reverend Susan Bell; Christ Church, Woodburn, The Reverend Canon Claire Wade, Priest in-Charge, and the people of that parish . As a community we pray for victims of war, terrorism & criminal violence. PWRDF DIOCESAN REPRESENTATIVES, BOARD AND YOUTH COUNCIL MEET FOR NATIONAL GATHERING
After three years of meeting on Zoom, PWRDF recently convened a national gathering of Diocesan Representatives, board members and Youth Council members in Toronto. (Look for our own Kerry Lubrick in the second row!) The event was hybrid and several volunteers who were unable to travel joined on Zoom. PWRDF welcomed Josephine Kizza Aliddeki, director of St. Jude Family Projects, a PWRDF partner in Uganda. She shared the challenges and successes of supporting women and girls and taking climate action through agricultural training. Click here to watch the video! WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS!
We are looking for volunteers to fill two essential positions! If you’d like to become more involved in the life of our Cathedral—we’d love to hear from you! We are looking for an individual to maintain our child-friendly space in the Cathedral on an ongoing basis. This involves monitoring the space to ensure it’s tidy, checking that toys and books are in good condition and clean, & advising wardens of anything that requires attention. This position does not involve a huge time commitment but will make a huge difference to parents and young children attending Christ’s Church Cathedral! We are also looking for 2 or 3 people on Saturdays to open and close the building for volunteers for Hamilton Out of the Cold (HOOTC), one of our most important ministry partners. HOOTC prepares hot ‘grab and go’ meals for up to 200 people experiencing housing and food insecurity in our neighbourhood. This volunteer role involves being at the church on Saturday from 9:45am to 10:15 to open the building and greet HOOTC volunteers and again from 4;45pm—5:15pm to close the building. WRESTLING ANGELS
A new monthly gathering led by Rev. Jeff, Wrestling Angels is a chance to engage with the stories of scripture in a casual setting, as we learn to ask questions of the text and encounter God in the most unlikely of places. Our next gathering is scheduled for December 7, from 7 to 9 pm. |

CATHEDRAL CAFE SEEKING CLOTHING DONATIONS
With the change of season, most of us are cleaning out our closets and preparing for winter. Please consider donating any of your lightly used clothing to the Cathedral Cafe. We are accepting all sizes of men's or women's coats, shoes and boots, sweaters, pants, hats & gloves. Items can be dropped off at the Cathedral on Thursday, Friday or Sunday mornings. CHRISTMAS CARDS, VISUAL GUIDE AND CHURCH CALENDARS
In 2008 the Cathedral started to produce Christmas cards using images from the stained- glass windows in our Cathedral in response to people who wished to see Nativity scenes and a greeting that included the word “Christmas”. Cards will be on sale on Sunday mornings until December 18 for $1.25 each. The Visual Guide to Christ’s Church Cathedral will also be available for $10.00 per copy. The guide provides a self-guided tour of the building with many photos and short explanatory text. 2023 Church calendars are also available for sale for $5.00 each. They wil be available on Sunday mornings or by contacting the Cathedral office. |
BRASS MONKEYS
The Brass Monkeys are a group who gather in the cathedral on the third Thursday morning of each month from 8:30 – noon. We have them to thank for the lustre of our brass items and polished woodwork! If you would enjoy assisting with these tasks, they would welcome your participation. Please be in touch with the Rev. Canon Bill Thomas if you would like further information. More hands welcome! |

Do you have surplus kitchen items, cleaning supplies such as mop, pail, broom or dustpan? These supplies will go to support a Ukrainian refugee family in setting up their own apartment. To assist, please contact Wendy Newman or the church office. |

Nametags are a great way to connect and extend hospitality! Please pick yours up in the narthex on your way into church. If you need a new nametag, or have never had one, please sign your name on the list in the narthex or coffee area and we will be sure to prepare one for you. The greeters can point you to the list, or you can contact the church office directly. |

If you would like to place flowers at the altar or at the chancel steps to honour or to celebrate your loved ones, please contact Donelle de Vlaming (289-239-9649). December 11 is available for altar flowers. All Sundays except December 4 are available for flowers at the chancel steps. The donation for the flowers is $130.00
