CAMPAIGN PLANNING SET TO BEGIN
Monday marks the launch of our planning study and Bishop Susan Bell is asking for your help. In the coming weeks, we’ll be canvassing people across the diocese about what you believe are most important priorities for our ministries, where you see the Spirit leading our diocese, and to gauge support for a major parish-focused fundraising campaign. The primary focus for this campaign will be to resource parishes and missions to support their Mission Action Plan (MAP) initiatives. In addition, we are also hoping to support several other major projects and initiatives, including: • creating an endowment to provide ongoing funds for lay and ordained missional leadership, including support for curacy positions and church planters; • fostering Indigenous healing and reconciliation initiatives; and • equipping our shared ministries facilitated through St. Matthew’s House, Canterbury Hills, and Christ's Church Cathedral. The goal of the proposed campaign is to lift up the ministry of our parishes and missions and to resource these vitally important ministries, which serve as the face and hands of Christ in our community. The planning study will include personal interviews, a mail and online survey, and a series of town halls and listening sessions. We’re looking forward to hearing your valuable opinions. |

A MESSAGE FROM YOUR GENEROSITY TEAM
TAP DEVICE In an effort to provide an easy and efficient way for visitors to give to the life of our community, the Generosity Team has installed a “Tap” device at the back of the church near the baptismal font. Matthew Green worked with the team to design a banner to draw visitors attention to this option. The banner depicts snap shots of our collective life together. Each “tap” provides a $5.00 donation to the Cathedral, minus an administrative fee of approximately 5%. During Art Crawls and other open Cathedral events, we will also continue to provide donation boxes strategically placed throughout the Cathedral if visitors wish to donate by way of cash. While we anticipate that Tap will be used primarily during open Cathedral events, it is available at all times for anyone who is visiting us, including during any of our service times.
