Weekly Prayer Cycle
In our Parish Cycle of Prayer we pray for Sheryl Wickens– Perrie; Ophelia Williams; Kathy Wolsey; Randy and Rena Woods; Robert, Tanoya & Tarroya Woods. In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer we pray for the Episcopal / Anglican Province of Alexandria. In the Anglican Church of Canada we pray for the theological colleges and training programs within the Ecclesiastical Province of Ontario: Canterbury College, Huron University College, Renison College, the Anglican Studies Program at Saint Paul University, Thorneloe University, Trinity College, Wycliffe College ELCIC Luther ColRegina and Luther College – High School. In our Diocese of Niagara we pray for our Bishop, The Right Reverend Susan Bell; The Dunn Parish, Christ Church, and St. John the Evangelist, Dunnville, the Reverend Canon Richard Moorse, Priest-in-Charge, and the people of that parish. As a community we pray for prisoners, especially prisoners of conscience, those politically or unjustly imprisoned. CATHEDRAL CAFE
Lightly used summer clothing, especially for men. The Cathedral Café is seeing approximately 40 people per day. 75% of the visitors are men and a majority of the people are living on the street or precariously housed. As we approach the warmer weather there is a need for summer clothing. The Cathedral Café will accept your lightly used t-shirts, shorts, socks and pants. MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS TRAINING
Thursday, June 15th 2023 – 1:00 – 3:00 PM Christ’s Church Cathedral - 252 James St. North Event Description: Following the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been an increase in demand for mental health programs and services, specifically in the Hamilton region.. Please join us to learn from a panel of experts about Mental Health Services, the mental health environment and referral systems in Hamilton. Event Outcomes: 1. Reducing stigma attached to mental health 2. Identifying a mental health crisis situation 3. Understanding mental health resources and referral systems 4. Knowing who to call for assistance with understanding mental health and possible resources 5. Q & A Session We will also be joined by representative from the following agencies: - Canadian Mental Health Association, Hamilton - Barrett Centre for Crisis Support - IntAc - COAST - St. Matthew’s House This is a free event open to the community. The Contact Editorial Team is seeking a volunteer layout designer. Current templates for Contact are in InDesign and older templates are in Publisher but can be updated. Your role is to work with the editor creating the layout of each edition of Contact, matching suitable graphics and photos with text content. This role is suitable for remote work. Interested?
