VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The Cathedral is currently looking for volunteers to learn how to manage our sound board and live stream function on Sunday mornings. Candidates for this ministry are people who work well as part of a team, are familiar with the Sunday liturgy (in order to direct the cameras to the correction location), have reasonable computer skills, and would enjoy acquiring new tech skills. Specific duties involve connecting to the Cathedral's Youtube link, turning mikes on and off as the service proceeds, and directing the cameras. Training and checklists for ongoing Sunday use will be provided. When scheduled, volunteers will need to be at church about 45 minutes before the service to check the equipment and mikes, and stay about 15 minutes after. The benefits of this ministry are many: facilitating access to CCC's Sunday liturgy for those who wouldn't otherwise be able to attend, the chance to connect with new people, and the opportunity to learn some new tech skills. If you'd like to shadow tech volunteer coordinator Gen over the next couple of weeks to see what's involved before making a commitment, please email or call warden Elizabeth Wensley as soon as possible (eawensley@gmail.com, or 905-807-2596). |
PWRDF
In every issue of its monthly Email Update, PWRDF publishes a brief partner story, called “Voices of Hope” showing the impact of your donations and how you are able to help change the lives of people and communities around the world through PWRDF. This month, we read about the Rev. Lori Calkins in the Diocese of Edmonton who works with Indigenous Birth of Alberta to support Indigenous people who need to access healthcare. Herself Métis, Calkins empowers Indigenous families to reclaim Indigenous knowledge, ceremony and tradition. To read Rev. Calkins' story, please visit https://pwrdf.org/get-involved/share-our-stories/ For information on ways to support PWRDF please contact your Parish Representative at louise.vanwoelderen@gmail.com or 905-387-1820. |

DIGGING DEEPER
Are you interested in talking more about the homily? Do you have questions about the scripture readings? Are you just happy to sit around and talk with thoughtful people? Would you be willing to meet after the second service around 12:15? Can you find your way to the Spence Room (formerly the Living Room)? Have you noticed something strange about this announcement? Are you asking why it's entirely made up of questions? Can you come to Digging Deeper and explain why to me, too? |

Please drop off in Myler Hall marking “donation for Cathedral Café” or request pick up by contacting Kerry Lubrick at kerryllubrick@gmail.com or 905-679-2828. |

A PRAYER FOR THE SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
Loving God, we thank you for the family of the Church. We pray that all may find in her their true home; that the lonely, the marginalized, the rejected may be welcomed and loved in the name of Jesus.
