CHRISTMAS CARDS & VISUAL GUIDE

CHRISTMAS CARDS & VISUAL GUIDE

In 2008 the Cathedral started to produce Christmas  cards using images from the stained- glass windows in our Cathedral in  response to people who wished to see Nativity scenes and a greeting that included the word “Christmas”.

Cards will be on sale this Sunday for $1.25 each.

The Visual Guide to Christ’s Church Cathedral will also be available for $10.00 per copy.  The guide provides a self-guided tour of the building with many photos and short explanatory text.

DEDICATION

DEDICATION

The weather was beautiful on Sunday morning as we gathered outside in Bishopsgate Garden to participate in a dedication ceremony for our Celtic cross and statue of St. Francis of Assisi.

These lovely items were donated to Christ’s Church Cathedral by Bishop Ralph Spence and  installed by Derek Smith and Turner Shaw.

LAMBETH

Bishop Susan will be speaking about her experiences at the Lambeth Conference this past summer on Friday, October 14th at the parish of St. John the Evangelist, Locke Street. All are welcome.

SUPPORT A FAMILY

Do you have surplus kitchen items, cleaning supplies such as mop, pail, broom or dustpan?

These supplies will go to support a Ukrainian refugee family in setting up their own apartment.

If you can assist, please contact Wendy Newman or the church office.

PWRDF

PWRDF

HAVE YOU MADE A DONATION? THERE IS STILL TIME!

Congratulations to the Cathedral Crusaders!

To date, our team of walkers, knitters, and crocheters has raised $2400 and is the #5 top fundraising team.

Let's keep the momentum going! You have until October 8th to make a difference to refugees and internally displaced people with your donation!

How to donate!
#1:  Visit www.pwrdf.org/wild-ride/ .  On the home page, click on the “Donate Now” button. You can “Assign to a Team” and from the drop down menu, choose “Cathedral Crusaders”.
#2:  You can send a cheque to PWRDF at 80 Hayden Street, 3rd floor, Toronto, ON, M4Y 3G2. Make sure to indicate in the memo line of your cheque “Wild Ride – Cathedral Crusaders Team”.
#3:  You can give a cheque or cash to your Parish PWRDF Rep. (Louise van Woelderen).  It will then be mailed to PWRDF who in turn will send you a tax receipt.

BRASS MONKEYS

The Brass Monkeys are a group who gather in the cathedral on the third Thursday morning of each month from 8:30 – noon. We have them to thank for the lustre of our brass items and polished woodwork!

If you would enjoy assisting with these tasks, they would welcome your participation. Please be in touch with the Rev. Canon Bill Thomas if you would like further information.

SUNDAY WORSHIP MAILING

We'd like to connect with you!

If you are new to the parish we'd be happy to add your email address to our parish list so that you can receive regular communications. We will also provide you with a nametag.

Anyone needing a new nametag, and/or needs to update your email information, please contact the church office.

NAMETAGS

Nametags are a great way to connect and extend hospitality!

Please pick yours up in the narthex on your way into church.

If you need a new nametag, or have never had one, please sign your name on the list in the narthex or coffee area and we will be sure to prepare one for you. The greeters can point you to the list, or you can contact the church office directly.
