CELEBRATION OF LIFE

CELEBRATION OF LIFE

Dr. Frederick Albert Hall

On Wednesday, August 31st we celebrated the life of Dr. Frederick Albert Hall, husband of the Reverend Canon Dr. Sharyn Hall.

Unfortunately, due to an internet outage, the live stream of the service had some disruptions. If you were unable to join us, or unable to access the live stream, you can view the full service here

We continue to hold Fred's family, friends, and colleagues in our prayers as they mourn.

NAMETAGS

Nametags are a great way to connect and extend hospitality!

Please pick yours up in the narthex on your way into church.

If you need a new nametag, or have never had one, please sign your name on the list in the narthex or coffee area and we will be sure to prepare one for you. The greeters can point you to the list, or you can contact the church office directly.

ST. MATTHEW'S HOUSE

ST. MATTHEW'S HOUSE

Thank you for your ongoing donations of food for the Food Bank at St. Matthew’s House. We received this message of thanksgiving from them on August 31st:

Dear Friends

On behalf of St. Matthew’s House, but more importantly, the community that we serve, we would like to say THANK YOU for your donations of 247 pounds of food so far for 2022.

Throughout the last two years, we have noticed a large increase in seniors reaching out for support and staff have been busy helping them connect and improve many aspects in their life.

Programs at St. Matthew’s House offer a range of support from:
Emergency Food Deliveries
Eviction Prevention
Senior Navigation
Mobile Markets
Street Outreach
Child Care Centres

We are not able to provide these valuable programs without the generous support from people such as yourself. Through the pandemic, we have engaged with many seniors who faced isolation and food insecurity. Our jobs are far from finished. We strive to be a place where hope lives and this helps us ensure that those in need have the supports they require.

Again, I say thank you on behalf of St. Matthew’s House and all those in our community that we serve. If you have any questions, we are always just an email, phone call or click away. Please visit our website www.stmatthewshouse.ca to get all the up to date information.

Best Regards, Renée Wetselaar, Executive Director
