Dr. Eduardo Farias is a classically-trained trumpeter, a Music educator, a singer and multi-instrumentalist based in Thorold, Ontario. A native of Porto Alegre in Brazil, he is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Theological Studies from Concordia Lutheran Theological Seminary in St. Catharines; he has received a Doctoral degree in Music Performance from Michigan State University, a MM in Music Performance from Valdosta State University and a Bachelor's degree in Music from Universidade Federal de Santa Maria.
Eduardo has performed as a trumpeter in France, Germany, Greece, the USA and his home country Brazil. His students have won multiple Solo and Ensemble instrumentalist awards, and have been selected to All-State bands in recent years.
Eduardo's music has been featured in multiple CDs and DVDs of Contemporary Christian Worship bands in Brazil. He continues to produce music with his wife Daniela Cruz, which has been used at their church, Martin Luther Chapel.
Our staff have returned to working at the Cathedral with admin staff currently available Monday through Thursday from 9am to 12pm. Clergy office hours vary, however, all staff members can be reached by email or by leaving a phone message.
