Weekly Prayer Cycle
In our Parish Cycle of Prayer we pray for Glen Lawson; Catherine Leckey; Rev. Canon J Lefebvre; Jean Livingston; David and Gaynor Low. In our Community and Partners Prayer Cycle we pray for the Royal Botanical Gardens. In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer we pray for the Anglican Church of Australia. In the Anglican Church of Canada and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada we pray for The Rt. Rev. Todd Townshend, Bishop, and the clergy and people of the Anglican Diocese of Huron; and the congregations of the Western Manitoba area of the Lutheran Manitoba-Northwestern Ontario Synod. In our Diocese of Niagara we pray for our Bishop, The Right Reverend Dr. Susan Bell; and for the Church of St. James, Dundas, The Reverend Canon Leslie Gerlofs, Rector; The Reverend Deacon Ann Vander Berg, Deacon; The Reverend Canon Peter Davison, Honorary Assistant; The Reverend Carol Overing, Honorary Assistant; and the people of that parish. As a Community we pray for those who are developmentally and physically challenged. Cathedral OasisAn Open Time for Peace and Reflection - Sunday, April 21 from 12:30-2:00pm Our doors are open one Sunday per month for anyone to drop in for peace and reflection in the middle of our busy city. Feel free to light a candle, say a prayer, or just sit quietly in this beautiful space. Maybe you have never been in the Cathedral and just want to have a look around? Maybe you would just like to listen to some quiet, peaceful music? Whoever you are, whatever brings you to our doors, you are very welcome. In case you have any questions while you are visiting, there is someone on hand from our community. For level access please go to the reception door to the left of the main Cathedral entrances. Items Required
The Cathedral Cafe's clothing cupboards are running on empty. At this time, the need is for rain wear, sweatpants and casual pants, hoodies/sweatshirts, short and long-sleeved T-shirts, casual shoes (sandals and runners), and backpacks. Dress clothes are less useful to our guests, many of whom are living on the street and in encampments. We also need mugs, if you have any to spare. All donations should be clean and in good condition. Thank you! |
Bishop Terry Brown (1944-2024)
Bishop Terry’s funeral will take place at Christ’s Church Cathedral on Friday May 3 at 1:00pm. We continue to give thanks for his life and witness and to hold his family and friends in prayer. |
