Order of Niagara

Order of Niagara

Sunday, October 29, 2023

Since May 2000, the Diocese of Niagara has invited parishes to nominate a person from their parish annually, who has given of themselves to the parish, the diocese, and the Church.  The Bishop of the Diocese also nominates people to the Order of Niagara. It is a way of honouring the laity and the their ministry within the diocese.

On October 29, Bishop Susan Bell will install this year's nominees from Greater Wellington & Trafalgar to the Order of Niagara at a special service held at the Cathedral.

Congratulations to all the recipients!

Basic Income... It Still Matters

Join us at the Hamilton Public Library (Central Branch) next Friday, October 27th from 10:00am to 3:00pm.

The Ontario Basic Income Pilot was short-lived, but it was transformational. New information continues to emerge about just how powerful the program was for the more than 1,000 participants in Hamilton. Next week, we'll look back on the program and look ahead to what's next for Basic Income in Ontario.

Keynote: FORMER ONTARIO PREMIER, KATHLEEN WYNNE
