Every week a group of knitters meet at the Cathedral to knit “prayer shawls”. These are shawls that are then given to those in need of comfort.
Prayer shawls become tangible symbols of love when words can’t be found to adequately express one’s feelings. We knit prayer shawls, have them blessed, wrap them and enclose a prayer.
Our talented group of knitters has also taken on the responsibility to knit hats, mittens, and scarves that are offered during the Christmas season to children and adults in need.
